QR Foot

This is highly recommend for all Mercury Universal medium format and large format cameras if you plan to shoot with a tripod.  The QR Foot attaches via 3 screws for a much more secure fit than standard tripod plates.  It is compatible with the Arca Swiss QR system, for which you can purchase an inexpensive generic clamp for any tripod.  Even if you wish to attach a different type of tripod plate to your camera, it is better to attach to the metal 1/4-20 tripod threads in the QR Foot than to attach directly to the bottom of the camera.

The longer variants include multiple tripod attachment threads.

When not attached to a tripod or plate, the QR Foot generally balances your camera and allows it to sit upright on a table or shelf.
