You will get about 32 exposures on a 13ft 65mm cassette and about 35 exposures on a 15ft 70mm cassette.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVersion 2 differs from Version 1 in the following ways: \u003c\/strong\u003eMost importantly, it has an expanded image width of 117mm (versus the original 113mm).  Most of the time you can use stereo mounts as large as 50mm x 50mm.  Pano shooters also benefit from a slightly larger frame.  The V2 back also has an optimized 120 film path that helps hold the film significantly flatter (you will still need the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/mercuryworks.store\/products\/mercury-120-adapter-set-for-65-70mm-panoramic-back\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ekit\u003c\/a\u003e to shoot 120\/220). The 65mm and 70mm film path never had a problem with flatness and remains unchanged. The image will be the full, ordinary height of a 135 frame and approximately 67mm wide. A typical 35mm 36 exposure cartridge will yield approximately 14-15 panoramic exposures in this back. This back is particularly valuable for panoramic aficionados, for the medium format use of uncommon films that only exist in 135 format, and for inexpensive shooting and local developing.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNote that the back itself cannot rewind an exposed roll of film back into its cassette. A changing bag or darkroom will be necessary for that if you wish to rewind the cassette (for commercial processing, for instance). One advantage to this model is that after conversion with this kit its built-in frame counter will work to some degree (though three frames will be shot before it starts to indicate properly, and a couple of frames will be shot after it maxes out, unless it is a 220 back, in which case it will continue to work). With a 90mm lens, you want the RS-40 version of the camera. Our recommended lens is the Schneider Super Angulon 90mm XL f\/5.6.
